Funderstorm

Sex jokes and rock & roll battle rainy day boredom.
Controversial sketch troupe Lonely Cake mount their 2nd fringe show Funderstorm: an inside guide to rainy day fun

Plans are made, bags are packed but Mother Nature is a B and rains on your parade, literally. Four grown men confined to the in-doors are stuck battling their boredom. Through jokes, stories and heart felt tales of sexual encounters these four friends find that you don’t need to leave home to have a good time. With sketches ranging on topics from their biggest fears to care bears and a finishing face sketch that is not to be missed. Funderstorm is the cure for your rainy day blues. Lonely Cake, a sexy comedy quartet from the windy city of Toronto brings their brand new show to Montréal for its world premiere at the St Ambroise Montreal Fringe. Written, performed and produced by Lonely Cake, this show is their second venture into the fringe after the smash hit comedy “Quarter Life Calamity” made its debut last year at the Toronto Fringe Festival. Lonely Cake has been together for six years and since their formation they have performed at many venues across the Toronto area. Hi-lights include various sketch competitions at The Comedy Bar and several headlining performances at The Rivoli’s Alt Dot-Comedy Lounge as well as sketch revues at the Toronto Centre for the Arts. With no topic off limits Lonely Cake crosses any line in an attempt to reach maximum hilarity offering something for everyone. Lonely Cake is bound to leave you craving another slice.
